The car was revealed in a gimmicky egg ahead of the official press event at NYIAS. There are more photos all over Twitter and Instagram using the tag #Toyotahatch.

That still looks so good...

“Because hatch you see like from an egg the verb instead of the noun”...OH! I see now I get it!

Like a Mazda3 mounted a first gen Matrix and had beautiful 168hp babies.

Toyota killed it. Can’t wait for the hot version of it.

This thing would haul with an 8AR-FTS. I’m pretty pleased with what I’m reading about the M20A-MKS though. Also, Toyota’s engine codes have completely gone down the toilet since the halcyon days of 22R and 3S-GTE.

That’s why I have a 2UR-GSE. The 8AR-FTS would be freaking great in that car. Would buy one for sure.

Bring back the Blade Master G!

If you told me ten years ago that I could pick between a funky Toyota hatchback with (very likely) decent handling or a Honda with a fat low-to-midrange torque curve, I would have called you crazy.

They missed an opportunity to have it painted bright yellow as part of a yolk, or chick...
Speaking of which, chicks are cute and fuzzy.

Surely you’re yolking.

That thing is insane. The next one needs to be mid-engine, rear wheel drive though IMO.. I would be totally fine with it being front engined again though.

I can shell out for some more.

Irritatingly, while it has CarPlay and Alexa, Android Auto is nowhere to be found.

The Blade Master G was a light in the darkness of Toyota’s mid-2000s car lineup.

That’s my one gripe from what I’ve heard as well.

I always thought the Lexus CT200h needed a CTF variant with the 3,5L V6.

It sucks that it isn’t available, but when I had Android, I found AA to be infuriating to use. I just stopped using it. Now that I have an iPhone, I use Carplay daily. One was as glitchy as the phone, one actually works.

If it got closer, I’m sure it’d be much larger. That’s how eyesight works, right?

I don’t have any personal experience with Android Auto other than it refusing to work with my Galaxy S7 edge in the Kia Soul I rented recently.
But I’m also not going to buy an iPhone, and built-in maps in cars blow, so I’d like to at least be able to get Google Maps on to the car’s screen.
If I had a car with AA, I don’t think I’d use it all the time. I’d probably stick with bluetooth music streaming and plug in AA when I need navigation.

It just never really worked, I always ended up having to look at my phone for GPS.

Nice angle, can’t see the face

I would have had a Salvador Dali impersonator step out of the driver’s door.
